olaaa kengkawan! ...hehe sorry, lama offline ...i was not well, my head, eyeballs & neck were fucked up due to bad migraine for d past few weeks ...any health tips?

my wife & daughter were away in semenanjung the past 2 weeks, wife had to go to some teambuilding program in kerteh for 1 week and another week in kl for work. so we sent adriana & her bibik to her grandparents' place in seremban.

to avoid morbid boredom, i decided to go to sandakan, lahad datu & tawau for work. on 1 of those lonely nights, while busy googling ...i stumbled upon an announcement on the long awaited release of the new guns n' roses album; chinese democracy. my beloved limewire was quickly launched & within minutes, 14 songs were downloaded hehe.

i was really disappointed. it hurts even more than metallica's death magnetic. at least with metallica you can more or less expect those posers return to heavy, old school metal after they were blasted for the black album, load, reload, st anger etc.

but this is guns n' roses ...the most dangerous band in the world :) ...so i gave it a few more listens & well, it still sucks! ...it's not gn'r ...it's axl with countless other guitarists.

axl still has it tho, the familiar shriek, the swagger & few nice ballads ...(hehe rock kapak aku nih!) ...but without slash, it's not guns n' roses ...it's like mick jagger without keith richards, steven tyler without joe perry & bono without the edge hehe.

i hope both of them kiss & make up ...and make another appetite for destruction!

love this band. been listening to them since 'let's go', their 2nd album back in 94. it is my favourite album by them followed closely by 'indestructible' (03). their breakthrough album was '...and out come the wolves' (95). you would probably have listened to 'time bomb' a ska influenced song featured in 'fun with dick & larry' starring jim carrey.

most of their songs in 'let's go' were 2+ minutes punk + rock n' roll + rockabilly with lead vocalist & guitarist tim armstrong trading vocals with guitarist lars frederiksen ...and the bass was just plain awesome. just try listen to 'motorcycle ride', 'solidarity', 'international cover-up', 'burn', 'ghetto box' & 'midnight' ...you'd be jumping up & down and rolling on the floor like hell-cats hehe.

their subsequent releases i.e. '...and out come the wolves', 'life won't wait' (98) & 'rancid' (00) were all good but my fav is still 'let's go'. 'wolves' & 'life' were slower paced punk & heavily ska, reggae, dub influenced albums which were okay, but i kinda missed the rock n' roll + rockabilly, pogo dancing round the mic & trade off vocals between tim & lars hehe. the self titled 'rancid' (00) was in your face hardcore punk album and the song 'young al capone' is just ...how should i put it? ...what's cooler than being cool? ice cold baby! :)

in 2003 they released the return to form 'indestructible' ...the style was a mix of every albums they ever released ...and i was grinning from ear to ear like a birthday boy opening his gifts the moment i listened to the 1st track also titled 'indestructible'. then it was 'fall back down', 'red hot moon' ...and when i got to 'tropical london' ...that was it, i was sold hehe.

still waiting for their next album, it has been 5 years and counting, but till then, i'd be happily listening to their 6 albums and tim & matt freeman previous band; operation ivy.

such a young age, 32 years old. i was informed by jeme, matley & toha last night. a young man with everything to live for succumbed to colon cancer.

it hits me like a ton of bricks, as i also lost both my parents to cancer, my mom in 2005 (ovarian & later lung cancer) & my dad in 1994 (brain tumor). i felt numb all over again ...allah works in a special way, i remind myself.

jeme told me a funny story about arwah a long time ago. arwah used to travel back to kelantan with his then girlfriend 'as. they were driving in 1 of his kereta sewa. when he reached kelantan he told jeme that all the way from kl to kelantan 'as made him listen to ziana zain ...and they both burst into laughter.

i will always remember arwah as a humble, happy & cheerful guy ...semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat & ditempatkan disisi orang2 yang beriman.

metallica ...after justice

i dont know, but i think death magnetic is overrated. sure, there is none of that annoying drum sounds of st anger & lots of kirk's solos. but to me they have lost it ...after justice, everything were really disappointing. no more that snotty & aggrasiveness of kill 'em all, no more triumphant feel of lightning & master and no more that epic journey of justice. the black album? ...debatable. the thing that really pisses me off is hetfield's country style of singing ...i cringed whenever he screams 'yeah heyeaaah'. megadeth & slayer are way cooler than metallica nowadays. what to do? at least i still have kill, lightning, master & justice on my hard disk & remember the good old days when metallica rules!

in the spirit of 'mari bakurapak brunai/ kedayan' as propagated by mr hermz, post ku yg tabaru ialah vw bas. batah sudah aku jatuh hati ka vw ani, arwah bapa ada vw kura2 sabuah, atu pun ku liat dari gambar nganya ...nombor pletnya pun bisai = esa2722. peradian ku pun sampat naik vw arwah, barulang dari sandakan ka kk. aku jua yg kampunan. nya urang tua-tua, mana tumpahnya kuah mun inda ka nasi? ada dangan manjual sabuah ...ndada lagi bapikir panjang, ku bali tarus! = ag1054. tapi yang banarnya, aku labih suka vw bas bah! ...nda ku tau mangapa, liat sajalah gambar2 nya di sebalah:-

my migraine diary 1

yesterday i had 1 of the worst migraine attack in my life.

i was with my wife & daughter at shangri-la tanjung aru, we were just about to break fast and all i did was stared at my spaghetti. managed to swallow 2 slices of cheese cake & a glass of sirap bandung, but everything went down the sink in 1 spitfire vomit. i spent the rest of the evening sitting all by myself on a bench outside the restaurant.

went back home, took 1 = 500 mg ponstan & passed out.

woke up at 10.30 pm, ate 2 donuts & watched liverpool vs stoke city with my brother ...and limpdickfool drew 0-0 to bloody stoke city of all team.

i must have been hitler in my previous life.
